教學感言—有教無類、因材施教、不放棄任何一位學子
在營建業界服務了十多年，負責一家分公司，遇到了瓶頸，十分感謝金門大學給了我機會，帶著忐忑的心情遠赴金門離島從事教育的工作，中年轉業是我一生無法預期之事 (上帝關了一扇門，必會開另一扇窗)。因近年來M型社會，不如以往的常態分佈，學生也日趨多元化，分佈差距極大，二十年的教學生涯讓我看盡了各式各樣的學生。
隨著時代的變遷與資訊技術 (Information Technology, IT) 的快速進步，產業環境也隨之快速變遷，產業界對於人才的需求情況亦隨之改變，加上近年少子化現象，高等教育的品質受到關注與嚴峻的考驗，金門大學地處離島邊境，有其不足與特殊之處，然土木系的老師們在資源有限的條件下，皆盡心盡力的從事春風化雨的教育工作。
教育的主體是學生，教育的本質是生活、學習，如何教育培育學生是一個見仁見智的問題。本系除了傳統的土木營建相關的基礎核心課程，如結構、大地、材料、水力、測量、生態、管理等，近年亦增加了IT相關的課程，如建築資訊模型（Building Information Modeling, BIM）、人工智慧 (Artificial Intelligence, AI) 等，以因應未來產業變遷所需，期望給多元化的學生提供更多元的選擇，以因應學生畢業後面對業界多元化的工作環境所需。
金門相對是一個純樸、慢活、自然景觀豐富的環境，人生黃金歲月大學的生活或可在此渡過，亦是一種智慧的另類選擇。本系歷屆畢業校友在公私部門皆有傲人的表現與亮麗的成績，如取得博碩士學位，通過國家考試(高、普、特考)、服務公職、取得技師證照，在業界公司擔任重要職務，亦或是自行創業有成閞辦公司等。本系秉承有教無類、因材施教、不放棄任何一位學子之使命，歡迎加入土木系的生力軍新鮮人們，在這個大家庭中共同生活、努力學習、滋養豐富四年後，天生我才必有用，將能夠展翅高飛，在土木營建業界的各領域發展出自己的一片天為禱。
